The Pinellas
Sheriff’s Police Athletic League has established educational and
recreational programs in the Lealman area.
The Pinellas
Sheriff’s PAL Lealman Sports Complex is located at 3755 46th
Avenue North (northwest corner of 37th Street N. and 46th
Avenue N.). The sports
complex is open 1:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and
8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday during the school year.
The center is open 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on school
holidays. The PAL sports
complex offers basketball, street hockey, beach volleyball, flag
football, four-square, tether ball, game room and will soon house a
boxing program. For more

A school aftercare program is housed in the former "County
Connection Center" building. Hours of operation during regular
school days are 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. (2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays)
and 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. during school holidays. Hours are
11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on early release days. This program offers
homework assistance, field trips, recreation and nutrition. A teen
"Night Program" is also offered.
