PAL hockey team gets addressed by former Lightning player John Tucker.

SHERIFF'S PAL ICE HOCKEY TEAM PRACTICES AT THE ST. PETE TIMES FORUM

The Pinellas Sheriff’s Police Athletic League Stars ice hockey team was given an amazing opportunity to hold a practice on the Tampa Bay Lightning ice at the St. Pete Times Forum on Tuesday, October 9th.

PAL Stars teammate Steven Quintero’s parents, Herb and Lori, acted as intermediaries to set up the practice.  They contacted Forum Vice President Sean Henry to make the initial arrangements.  Tim Friedenberger then finalized the specific arrangements.

The PAL Stars were awed as they moved past the Tampa Bay Lightning bench and stepped on the Forum ice for the first time.  Former Lightning player John Tucker and Lightning Director of Fan Development David Cole joined PAL coaches Mike Celona and Dave Goegan to supervise the practice and a short scrimmage.  The evening ended with team photos and excited chatter about the “memory of a lifetime” opportunity.
