Corporal Lorraine Hinson joined the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in 2005 after serving at the Clearwater Police Department as a Police Service Technician for five years.

Prior to assuming her duties as PIO, Corporal Hinson worked as a patrol deputy in the Patrol Operations Bureau. In 2013, Corporal Hinson transferred to the Investigative Operations Bureau where she worked as a detective in the Crimes against Children Unit and Economic Crimes Unit. In January 2017, Corporal Hinson was appointed corporal in the Public Information Office.

Corporal Hinson has an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from St. Petersburg College.
