Missing Endangered Man / Death Investigation

Charles P. Morris (Deceased)
DOB: 01/18/1954
Address: 1822 Bayshore Boulevard, Dunedin

Why/How:
Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit have identified the body of 63-year old Charles Morris, found floating in a Dunedin canal at about 3:48 p.m. on June 26, 2017.

According to detectives, Morris was first reported missing on June 21, 2017, after he left his Dunedin residence on June 20, 2017, and never returned home.

Morris suffered from a memory loss related illness and was considered a missing/endangered person.

Detectives were actively searching for Morris at the time his body was discovered behind the Cedar Creek Mobile Home Park in Dunedin.

Detectives say that Morris’ death does not appear suspicious in nature.  

Next of kin has been notified.

What:
Deputies are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing elderly man.

When:
The man has been missing since approximately 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017.

Where:
The man was last seen leaving his residence 1822 Bayshore Boulevard, Dunedin.

Why/How:
Deputies are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing endangered man from Dunedin.

According to deputies, 63-year-old Charles Morris was last seen leaving his residence with his dog at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. The dog later returned to the residence without Morris at approximately 12:00 a.m. the same night.

Morris suffers from a memory loss related illness and other medical conditions. Morris left without his wallet and cell phone. Morris does not have good balance and falls frequently

Morris has been entered as missing endangered into the FCIC/NCIC database.

Morris is described as a white male, 5’10” tall, approximately 250 lbs. He was last wearing khaki shorts, a gray t-shirt, and athletic shoes.
