What:
Deputies have arrested six suspects after two destructive devices are located in a Dunedin park.

When:
The devices were located at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2015. The suspects were arrested in the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 7, 2015.     

Where:
The devices were located in the Louis A. Vanech Recreation Complex located at 3051 Garrison Road in Dunedin.

Why/How:
Deputies have arrested six suspects after two destructive devices were located in a Dunedin park.

Deputies responded to the Louis A. Vanech Recreation Complex located at 3051 Garrison Road in Dunedin at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2015 in response to a call of subjects in the park after hours.

Upon arriving on scene, deputies made contact with multiple subjects in the area. While deputies were canvassing the area, a destructive device exploded near the racquetball courts. Deputies continued to canvass the area and a second device was located.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office bomb squad was contacted and responded to the scene. The bomb squad was able to detonate the second device without incident.

No evacuations of the area were made and residents in the area should not be concerned for their safety.

The suspects in the park have been identified as 19-year-old Tyler Wagner, 19-year-old Thomas Kemink, 19-year-old Bruce Edstrom II, 19-year-old Christopher Campbell, 17-year-old Spencer O’Connell and 15-year-old Robert Hackworth.

All six suspects have been charged with one count of Discharging A Destructive Device.

The four adult suspects were transported to the Pinellas County Jail and the two juvenile suspects were transported to the Pinellas Juvenile Assessment Center (PJAC) without further incident.

The investigation continues.
